Introduction
Falkeid Shipping AS’ business shall at all times comply with laws and regulations regarding ethical businesses.
Falkeid Shipping’s ethical guidelines apply to all employees, and board members of Falkeid Shipping, in companies where Falkeid Shipping has controlling ownership, as well as to persons who otherwise act on behalf of Falkeid Shipping (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Employees”).
This document gives an overview of what Falkeid Shipping perceives as a responsible and ethical business and imposes on the employee’s personal responsibility through general principles and specific requirements.
Employees shall as soon as possible give notification if the employee uncovers concerns or breaches of the ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions.
Leaders shall act as role models and ensure that this document is well-known by all Employees. Leaders shall facilitate and make sure that the company’s ethical guidelines are followed. Furthermore, leaders shall identify potential risk factors that may cause a breach of the ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions, and shall also implement action to reduce such risks.
When entering into larger supplier agreement, the supplier shall sign SLSKAP’S code of conduct.

GENERAL PRINCIPLE
Employees shall respect laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines linked to Falkeid Shipping’s business.
Falkeid Shipping aims to have a high ethical standard in our business. We shall respect fundamental human rights and the right to decent working conditions.
Employees shall act with integrity, and be fair, honest, and trustworthy. Employees are responsible for ensuring that they are not supporting actions involving fraud, corruption, or breach of fundamental human rights and the right to decent working conditions.
Employees shall behave with respect for both people and the environment. Employees must act in such a manner in which colleagues, suppliers, customers, partners, and stakeholders have trust in Falkeid Shipping.
Employees shall be loyal to Falkeid Shipping and keep Falkeid Shipping’s best interest in mind.

Notification
- 5.1. Internal Notification
Employees shall be notified when a breach of Falkeid Shipping’s ethical guidelines is discovered.
With suspicion of possible breach of the company’s ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions within Falkeid Shipping or the company’s suppliers or business partners, Employees shall address their concerns and questions with the employee’s nearest leader who shall give a rapport with Lawrence Falkeid.
When Employees are concerned or are experiencing that the nearest leader fails to take the concern seriously, the employee shall address their concerns and questions with Lawrence Falkeid.
Employees may give an anonymous notification and confidentiality shall be respected. The identity of the person who is giving the notification and the information given is under any circumstances only to be shared with the persons who is responsible to solve the case.
Falkeid Shipping has zero tolerance for retaliation against the person who has given notification or contributed to solving a breach of the company’s ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions. Such retaliation may be the reason for sanctions or resignation.
- 5.2. Notification from external actors
Anyone who suspects a breach of Falkeid Shipping’s ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions within Falkeid Shipping or its suppliers or business partners are encouraged to notify Falkeid Shipping by sending an email to Lf@falkeid.no.
- 5.3. Handling of notifications
Lawrence Falkeid has the overall responsibility to ensure that all notifications are handled and, if necessary, put together a team to follow up on the case and implement sustainable measures to cease, prevent, or mitigate the adverse impact of the company’s ethical guidelines, fundamental human rights, or decent working conditions.
Lawrence Falkeid shall make sure the company’s due diligence in accordance with the Transparency Act is audited when necessary, as a result of the notifications.

Request of information in accordance with the Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven)
Falkeid Shipping AS is covered by the Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven).
Upon written request, any person has the right to information from Falkeid Shipping regarding how Falkeid Shipping addresses actual and potential adverse impacts on fundamental human rights or decent working conditions that the company has either caused or contributed toward or that are directly linked with the company’s operations, products, or services via the supply chain or business partner.
All such requests shall be sent to Lf@falkeid.no.
Only Lawrence Falkeid shall respond to the requests for information in accordance with the Transparency Act.
Employees who receive such requests for information shall not give a reply to the request but shall ask the requesting party to address the inquiry to Lf@falkeid.no.
